Searches on the Australian Residential Data Source will return a Name-Match-Score and an Address-Match-Score. These two scores are calculated based on the accuracy of the information provided, in relation to the information returned from the Australian Residential Data Source. These two scores will help you quickly and easily identify any mismatches between your own data and the data returned from the Data Source.


The following is a guide to understanding these scores.


Name-Match-Score
There are 5 different NameMatchScores that can be returned:

- Indicates a full match has been made on each the First, Middle and Surnames provided.

A1 - Indicates a match has been made on the First and Surname, but the Middle Name could not be matched.

- Indicates that a match has been made on the provided First Name initial and Surname.

C - Indicates that only a match has been made on the Surname.

- Indicates that no match could be made against the Surname.


Address-Match-Score
There are 6 different AddressMatchScores that can be returned:

- Indicates a full address match. Suburb or Postcode must be matched.

1 - Indicates a full address match, but with an error in the locality provided (IE, Suburb and Postcode not matched).

- Indicates a full address match, but with an error in the Flat Number.

2A - Indicates a full address match, but with an error in the House Suffix/Prefix Number.

3 - Indicates a full address match, but with an error in the Street Number.

Z - Indicates no address match was made.
