How does Name-Match Scoring work?

The Name-Match Scoring work in two different ways, depending on the service being used:
In some services, the nameMatchScore can either be 0 or 1.000, nothing in-between. So if either firstName, lastName or both are wrong, the score becomes 0 (or N/A).
In other services, the nameMatchScore can be in the range 0.000 - 1.00. This essentially means that you can still get a score even if one of the parts of the full name is correct.
