The NZ Credit Bureau only responds to Data Zoo with an Address Match Status of ‘Match’ or ‘NoMatch’, so that is interpreted by Data Zoo's system as "true" or "false" across all elements. This means that we do not receive individual match status for each address element and only for the whole address is the status returned.

Furthermore: 

  • addressElement1 (street address) must be true for a status of "Match" to be returned
  • Either addressElement3 (suburb) OR addressElement4 (city/region) must be true for a status of "Match" to be returned
  • addressElement5 (postal code) doesn’t have an influence on the overall outcome; this could be subject to change from the Bureau though.
