There are many potential reasons why an Australian Passport is not being verified. Please confirm the following before resubmitting:

  • The passport is current; even if the expiry date hasn't passed, you will receive a negative result if the document is no longer current
  • The passport number has been entered correctly; generally, the passport number begins with 1 or 2 alpha characters followed by a string of 6-8 numeric characters
  • The individual's full name, including the middle name, has been entered correctly
  • The individual's gender has been selected correctly
  • If all the above information is accurate and a negative result persists then consider the possibility that the individual might have provided false information.
